Hell on earth definitely exists. Wherever man is, he creates a Hell for himself and others. If there is another life, and I think there is, man will create a Hell there as well, if he gets a chance.

Heaven is something everyone hopes for, but most of us have no concept of it. I don't recall any of our pastors at church telling us anything about heaven... only hell.

@SW-User I get the picture . Yeah they keep warning you like a devil when you are not fallen and once you fall they don't ever bother playing angels! till you trust nothing and go away like ashes . You know , I don't like men of religion myself.
They are bitter to me . Though religion is a matter of interest to me . And yes I listen to them but I dive in religion alone .

@Mohamed1Alsadek Yes, religion is a fascinating subject. I studied theology in both HS and college. However, I had to leave the church when they started telling me who to vote for...

You're so right, the religious leaders and elders are happy to take your money, but when you're down and out they won't be there for you. I watched this happen to my parents and to my friends... either judged or forgotten.
No evidence for either.
@BlueSkyKing If evidence means detectable, measurable, testable and falsifiable and heaven and hell doesn't apply to those then saying there is no evidence is meaningless. That still doesn't change the fact that you are giving the theological rather than the Biblical explanations of what those things are. The fact that you and probably most people here can't make that distinction speaks volumes.
@AkioTsukino I like methodology.
@BlueSkyKing
I like methodology.
That's fine, but your statement was ideological rather than scientific. You said there is no scientific evidence of heaven and hell and I simply make the distinction between theological and Biblical. If you want to talk about evidence for the Bible there is more archeological evidence in support of that than evolution which calls into question your alleged preference for methodology, but that's another topic.

both. But they are not places we go to. They are a state of existence.

From a Universalist perspective - the most sensible and viable perspective, in line with a loving God whose "mercy endures forever" - then Hell is temporal while only heaven is truly eternal.

@AkioTsukino To be honest I got this far......

Biblical theology is the study of what the Bible means. It's subject to interpretation, whereas Biblical study itself considers what the Bible actually says.

(Such a confused and nonsensical statement)

.....at which point I gave up.

Consider our dialogue, such as it was, closed.

Thank you.
@SW-User Wow!I From you I was not expecting such a closed minded argument - or lack of argument.

There's the text (Biblical study) and the theology (Biblical interpretation).

Theology is the study of gods or theistic belief.

From Grace college: "Theology is the study of God while biblical studies is the study of the Bible itself."

https://www.grace.edu/biblical-studies-vs-theology-what-is-the-difference/#:~:text=Theology%20is%20the%20study%20of,better%20understand%20the%20overall%20message.

From Wikipedia: "Theology is the systematic study of the nature of the divine, or more broadly of religious belief."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theology

I think your response has to do with something else.

@AkioTsukino In consideration, I apologise.

Sorry, I'm a bit wary at the moment having unblocked a whole number of people (and I had no record of exactly who they were) Most were Christian Fundamentalists.

As you stated it, your words came to me as some sort of "Oh, I just accept what the Bible plainly says". Obviously there is always interpretation and context.

Once again, sorry.
