I believe all monotheistic religions are all pointing to the same Creator. But there are different interpretations

Different places had different interpretations. But there are many commonalities. Each religion claims to be right. But I think they are all talking about the same Creator.
Heartily disagree. Contrary to belief, the Bible says not all paths lead to God, and most these days, are making up their OWN rules.

2 Timothy 3:5
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” Some ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

@LadyGrace I only said there were many paths to God. The Creator. That's it. Live and Let live. Why do my beiefs bother you so much that you feel the need to justify yours by putting words in my mouth. Show me where I ever said Christ or salvation. Until you can show me the link where I said that I would say you have nothing to say. I don't like liars.
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@LadyGrace and you are doing it to try and justify your position. Are you of weak faith ?
@Axeroberts
and you are doing it to try and justify your position. Are you of weak faith ?
Not trying to justify anything. The Words of Christ do not need justifying. They are what He says they are...Truth. Only quoting God's Word that you are ignoring, when it comes to many paths to Christ. All monotheistic religions do NOT point to the same Creator.
@Axeroberts
Each religion claims to be right. But I think they are all talking about the same Creator.
No they're not all talking about the same Creator. That is obvious from all the different belief systems, but God said listen to His Plan of Salvation and you can't go wrong. You won't miss heaven. They can't all be right! And that's why God gave us a specific Plan of Salvation, because it works for all the world, and was meant for all the world. That is obvious from John 3:16 and 17. God did not give us any other plan or way to heaven, but His plan. We can't all be talking about the same Creator because some think the Creator involves worshiping idols.
@Axeroberts oh my gosh Christianity and Islam are nothing alike.
Again.... It's not about religions of this world. Religion doesn't save a person. Jesus does, so what a particular religion claims as being right has nothing to do whatsoever with getting to heaven. Jesus died for the world, not certain religions. And Jesus said there's no different interpretations about it. He made his Plan of Salvation crystal clear so that people wouldn't miss how to get to heaven. But you keep dancing around that. God tells you the exact way to get to heaven but you keep insisting that your way is better and that you'll do it your way, not His way. God was trying to tell us that our devised manmade plan, doesn't work!

@LadyGrace well it has and is working very well for me. Thank you very much
@Axeroberts But it won't, my friend. It won't, in the end, because Jesus said it wouldn't.

You keep saying that you want to think for yourself and all, and that's understandable, but your attitude is that having salvation through Jesus Christ is somehow God controlling man, but it's just the opposite! When Jesus forgives us of our sins, he's not trying to control us. He's trying to save us from the condemnation that sin placed on us. He is freeing us from the condemnation that sin had over us, when we accept Jesus as Savior.
[c=BF0000]JESUS SAID:[/c]

[c=BF0000]ARE YOU SMARTER THAN HIM? JESUS SAID YOU WON'T MAKE IT TO HEAVEN WITHOUT HIM[/c]

"Truth is one, sages call it by various names" (Rig Veda)

Or, "Truth is one, paths are many."

Most "sages" would say that God (or Tao or Brahman or.......) is not a Being, but the ground of being in which "we live and move and have our being."

@Raaii Hi, yes, quite a common phrase drawn from the Hindu Faith, yet applicable across all Faiths. One way, infinite expressions, as it would be for virtually infinite human beings, all unique.

...... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness (Galatians)

Those fruits are found, have been found, and will be found, throughout our world of Faiths, and also in people of no particular faith at all. The spirit blows where it will (NT) not according to, or restricted to, those professing any particular creedal formula.

When you read or listen to history buffs on various artifacts and beliefs around the world, I come to a similar conclusion. We are all in search of something …good,? , but there are also those who will use the quest for their own benefit.
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@Mindful humans will be humans I guess
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
Its 5 blind men describing an elephant!
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
@Axeroberts I actually fully agree that all world religions are the same car with a different shell, and the fact everyone wages war over the shells is what i am most ashamed of for humanity
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@DiegoWolfe I know. They all want to be right instead. And people like us are misunderstood
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
@Axeroberts Yeah and we are totally seen as mad.... Because the men in power want to keep that power and they do that by fleecing their flocks and their fans
Carazaa · F
No there are many Jesus figures but only one savior! The Christ The Lord of all.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Carazaa @Carazaa And yet again...you weren't there.

But since we're blindly believing things, tackle this one.
"[c=800000]The man who eats my flesh and drinks my blood enjoys eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. My flesh is real food, my blood is real drink. He who eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, lives continually in me, and I in him[/c]" (Jn 6:54-57).
That's one no one ever wants to touch. But He said it.
Carazaa · F
@Graylight Jesus is real food we need for eternal life. He says "I am the way, the the truth and the life" We won't be thirsty if we drink from him. It is the eternal fountain of life.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Carazaa So you believe the doctrine of transubstantiation?

Another phrase, drawn from Hinduism, is:-

"Thou art formless: your only form is our knowledge of you"

It really does seem quite simple to recognise that all.our images and ideas of God are purely conceptual. Despite some assertions/beliefs of certain fundamentalist/lieralists there will surely be no time when we stand here and God stands there.

So once again, God not as a being, but as Being itself. This surely is fundamental?
The same creator- so God is single, God is many- we are saved by grace but we must also be saved by works and God is and isn't a Trinity?
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
So let me get this straight. You refer to Yahweh as the creator. You claim all monotheistic religions point to the same creator. But somehow, you're going to try to convince me that you aren't a member of any of the Abrahamic religions.
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@Emosaur over compensating. 🤣🤣
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@Axeroberts
i don't need to convince you of anything
Yeah, okay. 😆

@Emosaur
I like feeling intellectually superior.
Not gonna lie, that's a bit cringe.
