You can only vote on one answer.
For example:
If you are Muslim, could you be friends with a non-Muslim?
If you are Atheist, could you be friends with a believer?

* I'm not trying to stir up conflict

Just asking a question

I think friendships have various levels too and every relationship has its contexts. For many things in life relating cordially seems possible regardless of beliefs or differences in them. The closer the relationship becomes though, the more relevant values and beliefs can become, I believe, because aren't they the bottom line in some ways behind what we choose to do? At some stage values and beliefs do become relevant to me and they can limit the level of closeness I can realistically achieve.

@PhilDeep yess, I agree with this

It doesn’t matter to me. As long as they can respect my beliefs, I’d do the same. I don’t see anyone different b/c of their religion.
Yup. I literally got friends that believe very different than me. We meet at kindness.

It doesn't matter to me. It might be different if we were talking about a partner, but friends? No, that is fine with me. I am friends with people who are different from me in many ways.

@MalteseFalconPunch I always feel sorry for you guys. Surrounded by people who are convinced you're the spawn of Satan.

I was friends with a Hindu guy for a year. We would fight a lot when it came to our beliefs😅
Not at all.
I’m an atheist and I can be friends with anyone regardless of their beliefs.

No. I like being open to multiple beliefs and religions
Judging people on fate of birth is irrational and most people follow whatever religion their parents have. Personally I support freedom from religion.

I do care that my friends have a different religion ideals than me, it annoys me in the sense that they use their religion in a vocabulary daily basis
Lemony1199 · F
It's alright as long as there's respect to each other's.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I am almost 100% guaranteed that my friends will have at least slightly different beliefs.
