What if humans were born blind?

What if we were all born blind?

Would you agree now what meets our is Prejudice?
Which puts our vision a big ???

[big]So what is vision?[/big]
kimmy159 · F
Vision empowers prejudice, but even without vision there will be prejudice.

@kimmy159 vision is not the same as sight. Which one do you think is beyond the other?
kimmy159 · F
@in10RjFox It really depends on what you mean with the difference between the 2. Since English isn’t my first language, vision and sight seem the same to me 😂
If you mean the deeper kind of ‘sight’ then of course that goes beyond what we can actually see.
We’re all born blind in that way. But what we ‘see’ depends on our environment and how we’re raised a lot. You can gain insights yourself, but even those are influenced most likely.

@kimmy159 There are many words related to the material & intellectual aspects. A Vision is something that you get even with eyes closed. And we also envision something. Even a blind has a vision, for they picture the world with other sensory perceptions such as sound, smell, feeling etc. Whereas sight directly refers to what meets the eye, when the eye is open. And there is also insight when we see things within. A sight beyond what meets the eye.
Eyes are not necessary for having a vision …

Vision can happen in our mind …

Blind doesn't necessarily mean BLIND blind. Some blind people still have the ability to percieve light more than other blind people do, while some blind people have no light perecption at all. Also, some people are blind in one eye while being still fully able to see out of the other. And some people were born blind, while there are some people were once sighted but became blind.

{@in10rjfox] a fair question but maybe a little too in depth for a friday 😆everyone wants to relax it is friday start of the weekend and time to let your hair down and enjoy yourself
If we were all blind, we would probably go extinct unless we develop sonar like bats or dolphins.

What if you knew how to express yourself in English?

Which puts our vision a big? Huh?

We be sound racist and smell prejudice.

@Renaci 🤔 I once wondered whether or not, blind people could actually be racist.

Starting off with what I do know, colours are a foreign concept to blind people and being such, they're not able to tell red from blue, or for that matter, if someone is black or white or of some varying skin tone the way a sighted person can and yet, (provided they're not also deaf in addition to being blind) they can they can distinguish between the most subtle changes in sound.

Their hands can feel the difference between rough and smooth textures.

Their tongues can easily taste the difference between sweet and sour, salty and savoury.

Their noses can tell the difference between different fragrances and odors.

And many people (provided they're not mute) are quite adept at disguising their voices, so in that regard, it can be relatively easy to deceive the blind into thinking that a person of one race is that of another.

(or so it would seem...)
