I know we're all against Ai, but ive been using it lately for my nutrition journey

I use it A-Lot....it is super helpful

It's funny - I'm a 67 yo guy....usually the young ones are onto new technology....(but you know, I used the first z80 computer and never looked back)

I won't use the weird Muse thing - I have NO Meta accounts...but use CoPilot and Gemini - and even Kimi (which I restrict to gardening questions)

It is like having a really smart person at your disposal...access to all regular knowledge with reasoning built in. It's an enhancement to my knowledge...period.

I know some people use it to make life easier. My sister does

Similar to the pros and cons of nuclear energy. Personally, I'd rather we all managed without ... but I'll still be your friend. 😉

That and we are both very imaginative people. I hate thinking that something without ethics or a conscious can do what we do.

LLMs are a useful productivity tool and I think this is actually a good use of it. The information is all there, it doesn't vary much, and you can pull it in and sort it according to your specific needs very quickly. That's kind of what its ideal for. My issue with this stuff is the companies, the hugely unnecessary waste, and the political madness about it all.

Its when people start using them for creative works or companionship or all the con artist shit I start to get really, really pissed off.

I've been thinking of using AI to help out some with creative projects. But actually make works for me? Hard NO.

I have to admit
I have been using it for my job due to with a certain educational website being banned from our school * eye roll * it is useful in some ways but only when used in the right way

Glad it's helpful for some, but I will never use AI especially collecting my data. I hate the. With a passion and screw this world man made.

Yeah I admit to using it too. Especially for things like that. It's so fast.

But honestly I prefer traping it with questions I know there's a good chance of it being wrong the first time. I love cussing at it making it apologize. 🤣

im pretty ignorant of it all.
And i dont like what data centers are doing to communities.

But i can see its potential, both good and bad.
It COULD be the boon mankind needed, but it csn also be a toxic well of self absorbtion and delulded entitlement.

Creativity wise...im ....on the fence.
I suppose it depends on how its excecuted and the sources it uses.
I mean.....we take photos of other people's art, download screenshots etc🤷‍♀

It seems like a good creative use of Ai
I also listen to a few podcasts that are Ai narrated stuff with Ai visuals, but then, (one of my favorites i found is created by a guy who has a severe disability and he does all his own research, uses Ai to create visuals to match the narrative so he doesn't need to worry about copyright....its his income).
So... ugh, its fine line isnt it ?
Is he wrong....or is it morally decent? 🤷‍♀

it’s not ai that I’m against it’s the people that uses it for immoral reasons.

I'm not against AI as a technology. It's the people running the companies and building a financial bubble I take issue with.

I detest it, but i also am aware that it has been deeply embedded into anything on the Internet. I think at this point, it is literally unavoidable if you spend any time online.

I think when used to check research results, it can be useful, but there are current applications I'd never use it for.

I'm selling a bunch of stuff to get money for a trip, tattoo, and the cremation of my beloved kitty.
AI has saved me a ton of time by giving me an estimate of what my stuff is worth.
