@helsbels Hannah's family from day 1 have been supportive of us as a couple and accepted me entirely from the first time I met them, personally my weight has been referenced in passing several times but always in a neutral or positive way. Like, it's an evident fact that is neither ignored or paid attention to particularly.

After one big family meal I was on the couch with only Hannah's aunt there with me. She patted my stomach and said 'how's it going there big momma'? It was affectionate and shows how close and comfortable we are. So I don't feel they see my weight as a problem.

To my knowledge no-one has said anything about Hannah, at least to either of us. They may have mentioned it between themselves in passing. Hannah is her own person so I wouldn't feel blamed, I loved her as she was and love her the same now so I don't have any guilt or put pressure on her to be a certain way.

@SomeMichGuy No, I was naturally very slim and used to run. I would get a lot of 'compliments' on how skinny I was, I don't feel like that had an effect on it but maybe it did. I chose to gain when I was 19 and loved it, I never intended to reach or surpass 200lbs, but it certainly became easier and my job and life status (secure and happy in a relationship) helped that. I sometimes feel I would have liked to stop around 180lbs, I was pleasantly larger, noticeably 'fat'/chubby but smaller than today. I am down a little on my highest weight as I did notice it interfere with my life- being able to do my job or play with my niece.

@Emele I want to encourage you to try to get back to 180#; because you actually can see yourself realistically, you are already in a better frame of mind than many! [Note: I am also trying to lose weight and it will help me a bit, I am sure.]

@Notfatenough I can't believe how big she is getting, I need her to slow down 😅 We had pasta this week and I fed her two large helpings washed down with chocolate milk, she measured 2.5 inches more around when we were done 🤣
