So you are trying to make her fat?
Emele31-35, FVIP
@SomeMichGuy Not exactly but it isn't discouraged either
SomeMichGuyM
@Emele Saying you are trying to essentially overfeed her sounds like it.

Do you realize being a overweight is somewhat like smoking? It hurts your cardiovascular system, your joints, ...
Emele31-35, FVIP
@SomeMichGuy I think you are misunderstanding the situation here, I'm not 'doing' anything to her, it was a jokey comment that 'I'm making her fat', it's not like I think you are imagining it to be. I may have contributed to her gaining just because I am fat myself so make big portions or order out too much or whatever but she is her own person and can be whatever size she wants.
SomeMichGuyM
@Emele Sorry & thanks for the clarification! The "feeder" phenomenon is crazy stupid in terms of taking people with ok BMIs and purposefully heading towards disability, heart/lung/joint/etc. problems, and a much worse quality of life, followed by an early death.

@SomeMichGuy I myself fall in to that category, it's hard to explain but I guess I am just wired that way for it to be something I enjoy that feels good even though it is bad for me. In some ways it's like choosing to smoke cigarrettes, but also not really because it doesn't feel like a choice, it's like being left or right handed... it's just something that 'is'. I like being bigger, and the journey of gaining to get here. My health is good but I do worry, and I have had pain in my knees from it.

@SomeMichGuy And Hannah's is not nearly so drastic.

@SomeMichGuy No, I was naturally very slim and used to run. I would get a lot of 'compliments' on how skinny I was, I don't feel like that had an effect on it but maybe it did. I chose to gain when I was 19 and loved it, I never intended to reach or surpass 200lbs, but it certainly became easier and my job and life status (secure and happy in a relationship) helped that. I sometimes feel I would have liked to stop around 180lbs, I was pleasantly larger, noticeably 'fat'/chubby but smaller than today. I am down a little on my highest weight as I did notice it interfere with my life- being able to do my job or play with my niece.

@Emele I want to encourage you to try to get back to 180#; because you actually can see yourself realistically, you are already in a better frame of mind than many! [Note: I am also trying to lose weight and it will help me a bit, I am sure.]

You have been very open & I appreciate your honesty & courage. Thank you for engaging with me. 馃槉

@SomeMichGuy Oh, np. I'm really open and happy to talk about it / explain (as much as I can!)
