I had a friend who did a couple. I found it to be way more like theater, with a positive and supportive vibe, than anything sexual. My take is that it was sort of by women and for women. It was cool and the ladies, of all sizes and shapes, seemed to really have fun with it.

Once long ago (was something of the kind of a parody of classic burlesque in itself and with good old jazz music).
And twice asked by my then partner, as part of what she was restricted during her previous marriage and wanted to know in my company.

Yes. I went to a show by a Canadian troupe several years ago. Really cool. It was funny how amped up the women in the audience were by the end, way more than any of the men.
