If any of the gods could be bothered to talk to me then I'd be prepared to acknowledge his or her existence.

dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@peterlee no you don't have to blind faith, you need proof, god told us to use our brain to meditate in his creations, so
peterlee · M
@dexterrr22 Faith is a gift from Him.
Part of His Grace.

We are free though to accept or refuse it. The Arminian view.
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@peterlee yes i know but he also told us -in the quran- to meditate in his creation

@dexterrr22 I told you in my last comment...
life doesn't start with a cell
.

Think of a functional cell.
Mae the tiniest of changes... really really tiny, so tiny that the cell is very very slightly simpler but continues to function
Now do that again to the simpler cell
Now do that again to the simpler cell
Now do that again to the simpler cell...
and keep on going that for the next billion years

Eventually you'll get back to a stunningly simple self-sustaining chemical system capable of Darwinian evolution.

When that happens, run the entire sequence in the other direction.

Watch what happens 😀

@dexterrr22 who create it ?

Sex and death within a constantly changing environment

Sex and death
If you have one you need the other

A constantly changing environment.

If you have all three you don't need anything else.

This is Evolution by Natural Selection 101
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@dexterrr22 This might help... evolution is change in the frequency and distribution of alleles.
That's it! Nothing more than that.
The change is caused by a constantly changing environment

(alleles are different versions of the same gene)

@dexterrr22 why attempt to prove a myth. A waste of time and effort.
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@MasterLee god guide you inshaa allah

@dexterrr22 the universe shall
My problem would be choosing which god to believe in.

Ra? Osiris? Horus? Ahora Mazda?
Manitou? Tsohanoai? The Eight Immortals?
Fujin? Amaterasu-Ōmikami?
Shangdi? Zhongli Quan?
Odin? Frigg? Thor?
Zeus? Hera? Apollo? Artemis?

Heck, it's all so confusing! Maybe I'll become Buddhist so I can get reincarnated and have more lifetimes to choose!!

Spiritual purpose. Understanding there is more to the human experience than everything we can sense in the physical.
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@Reject can u explain yourself, i didn't undesrtand it seem like materialist philosophy
Reject · 31-35, M
@dexterrr22 Materialism is a part of why many can’t believe in the idea of a God, sure. Putting too much value on what you do or don’t have.

@dexterrr22 =
what do you need to believe in god ?

If everyone on the planet was transported to the moon with no special equipment and had a picnic with god, that could be a start to believe in him.
I do what the God of ALL creation commands all people to do.

I would need a preponderance of verifiable evidence that there was a god.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@dexterrr22 What does "digest the ailment" mean?
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@DunningKruger i mean stomach digest food
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@dexterrr22 The stomach digests food because that is what it evolved to do.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
If you search for truth logically the first thing you will eliminate is faith. Taking something on faith is pretty much the opposite of seeking truth.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@dexterrr22

no why it wouldn't be real when you prove it ?

Are you saying you have proof that god exists?
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@MoveAlong i said that there's proof that god exist i you should think of them,
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@dexterrr22

i said that there's proof that god exist i you should think of them,

If you have the proof either lay it out or just STFU. Proof has zero value if it can't be verified.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
What do I need?

A compelling necessity to even postulate their existence

@BlueSkyKing Maybe thats your soul. It can get bad by focusing on things that dont seem practical :)
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@BlueSkyKing i will give you one by one if you aren't convinced tell me
the first, is the following : when we see the developement of IA now, and how it respond when we ask it, we're very ammazed by it capacity, to the point that certain have think that it can oneday -like science fiction films- dominate us.

all of us agree that the humans being is intelligent, and with his intelligence had programmed a artificiel intelligence ! so we agree that the intelligence of IA don't come from no where it should be creator who is more inteligent than it is to programe it.

when we eat, our stomac know what to do by itself, we don't tell her : " hey, do this, and that. and finish your work before this time" why because it is programmed, so the question is the following: who programmed it ?

you will maybe argue the thorie of revolution, okay. i will say, where do the first cellule come from ?
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
You need a desperate time :)
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
Logically to me it makes sense there would be a God.
Emotionally it's harder because I cannot see this God nor does He speak audibly
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@Justmeraeagain well, we muslim have this prayer called prayer of istikhara صلاة الاستخارة and the principe of this prayer is to ask god about the thing you will do if it's good for you or not. and geuss what, we always have a response, it's like science fiction. but tell me since you believe in god what do you need to be muslim ? i can help you to undesrtand it
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@dexterrr22 I am absolutely not interested in converting
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@Justmeraeagain what about just knowledge about islam ?
Without faith there's really nothing. Somehow some take that as being irrational. Go ahead, think that, but it's not my way.
@dexterrr22 Key word there is "quran". Christians don't have that. It's not even a competition. Our message is love their neighbour.
dexterrr22 · 22-25, M
@GeretJan yes it's not a competition, the message normally is the same, for all "three religion"

I am looking at it logically, which means seeking tangible evidence—the way I would other aspects of life. Following emotion and wishful thinking means accepting popular mythology without question.

@dexterrr22 @dexterrr22 With respect, I was answering the question, not seeking proselytism. I’m not inclined to argue at all; I don’t have to believe as you do (and vice versa, of course).
