Are there any atheists that believe in reincarnation?

That would seem a contradiction.
walabby · 61-69, M
@Pikachu Exactly. A seemingly supernatural origin to the Universe does not need a god of any sort.
@Pikachu Yes. But you have to keep in mind, who you're talking to might be saying what they are because that's what works for them.

Listen to everyone. Take on whatever works for you - whatever fits you the best. Leave the rest behind without judgment.

It can be quite a challenge in a world which promotes judgment and criticism.

I'm often seen as crazy because of my ideas. They're certainly not in the mainstream.

@PhoenixPhail

lol yes the "without judgement" part is often more challenging.

One life wearied is to the bone and churns to the blood with voice to utter in the end can you imagine another life again, reincarnation is bullshit . I'm done with one life on earth I hate gravity and I don't mind going elsewhere but not the world.

Buddhism is more like a school of thought or philosophy rather than a religion though some people turn it into a religion. It doesnt teach that there is God or no God. Plenty of buddhist thinkers believe in God or a higher power of sorts. Who else would it be that orchestrates our reincarnations? Hindus definitely believe in God. They just call it something else.

@Penny I don't know if Buddha believe d in a God but he was definitely enlightened about the world the universe and humans.

@teachmetiger210503 well. Buddhism in an offshoot of hinduism and hindus def believe in like a God. Really seem to have a deeper understanding than the Christian type man in the sky. But they both have a lot of correlations. Buddhists just dont talk about it.

Yes, reincarnation doesn't require any belief in deities.

Buddhists are atheists and they propose additional lifetimes. This qualifies as reincarnation.
@SW-User I didn't know the Dalai Lama insisted on anything.

@PhoenixPhail He even travelled to America to stop the American attempt to fuse God belief with Buddhism. They don't mix at all.

Christianity does not believe in reincarnation. The religion is based on the belief in zombies.

I dont think so
re incarnation requires a soul or spirit
most of the ones i know, do not think there IS such a thing

Plenty. Buddhists are spiritual atheists, they don’t believe in any personal god nor the existence of a human soul.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Probably. It seems like a contradiction but people can label themselves and believe what they please not like there's rules.

teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@AngelKrish have not you learn enough from one life why is there need for another life
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
@teachmetiger210503 We don't decide that we will reincarnate or not..
Our Dharma(righteousness) and karma decides that we completed our journey on earth or not....
We carry our spirituality with our soul after death... that also transfers to next life..
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@AngelKrish I believe in a transcendental transfiguration if at there a life after death but not a reincarnation on this earth .if at all there is a reincarnation than have destination and life is a cycle and if it's a cycle there is no life it is a monotonous movement with no hope of salvation or freedom for soul. But take this life as one and only you will for a destination and no going back to the start, now is not that a journey. Life is a journey for sure and one long journey.

I am definitely an atheïst and don't believe in a soul or spirit. I believe we are indeed just our body. Including our brain and our thoughts its all just matter. And matter is made out of atoms. And those atoms never disappear even after our body rots away. The matter just changes, rearranges and reassembles into something new. So the stuff we are made of does reincarnate, just in a different way.
I'm sure there are. You don't necessarily have to believe in gods in order to believe in an afterlife, or as I call it, an in-between life.
