Hey...we muricans don't need nobody's nuthin'.
We will support our corporations. We will eat our corn. Lots and lots and lots of corn.
And soybeans...we love tofu. Yummo.
And we can go back to pre chip 8 cylinder motors. We will need to do something with all that oil. We will make and purchase everything we need.
And havent you heard? There is 800 million trillion that's been invested here. New factories will be hiring millions, in two weeks.
And you may ask who will buy these products.
It's us muricans. That's who. With all those dollars we are making at those factories that are hiring...in two weeks.

@Convivial Lets not belittle Americas efforts to acquire and enhance Artificial Intelligence. Its about time they made an effort to get intelligence of any kind. Neither the administration, the leadership or the voters have exhibited any lately..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman sadly true.🤔

Canada is making some big trade deals too.
Trade makes the world go round – and Trump screwed that up for Americans.
Thought I would include my Trump/Marco Polo joke.
Trump: Knock knock.
All the other countries: Who’s there?
Trump: Marco.
All the other countries: Marco who?
Trump: Just Marco because none of the other countries want to trade with me.
Cheers!

@Nanoose Canada's deals with China, Japan and the EU all have one factor in common (I checked) there is no rule in there about what currency has to be used for the trade..And all of those bodies are selling down their stocks of $US.. If this comes to pass, not only does the $US lose a significant amount of its attractive value , causing a defacto devaluation. But American banks lose $Billions in business and commission brokering the deals and transaction.😷

@KunsanVeteran I am so gratified that Canada has finally crawled out of Americas shadow and realised it holds most of the cards in trade when dealing with America. There is no doubt be a couple of speed bumps. (The auto manufacturing is old school and will end up costing both sides ) But Canada can only win out of this in the long run..😷

Chickens may not be the fastest things out there but come home to roost they are famous for ...

Look for many, many more agreements like this going forward.

@KunsanVeteran Exactly, This is landmark "foot in the door" deal to which various things currently tariffed will be added over time. More trade leads to more trade. lower tariffs lead to low tariffs and then ultimately free trade.
So what we have here is a perfect storm for the US. A 💩fiat currency everyone is selling off (except the crooks and drug dealers) A trade imbalance with almost every trade partner and squandered industry and manufacturing that have all been exported and skills lost. A poorly regulated market that is protectionist and dependent on govt to keep it in business,. And a corrupt, incompetent and globally unpopular administration that has pushed former allies to make deals with former enemies, who hold the keys to Americas economic future. I surely wouldnt want to be in America right now..😷

Sure, I know that cinematic moment. The problem is that Julia isn't wanting anything but vassals or slaves

@val70 You catch on quick..😷

But they need our aid packages
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarineBob It will take a season to replace what the US used to provide in aid. But one thing America has taught the world well is, "Theres no such thing as a free lunch".😷
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@MarineBob Trade is more effective than aid, as America used to remind us.
