So much eternal beauty he left for you and the world. Your husband had a beautiful gift.
CoffeeFirst · 56-60, F
@Soossie Fascinating work. You must be so proud. And he married a wonderful woman.
@CoffeeFirst

Hello lovely lady … good to see you again…

Thank you for your kind words… I was indeed proud of him and his art and we both took his art as our lives priority ..

🌹🥰
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@Soossie Keep making art your self as well 🌹
I'm just flabbergasted. I don't even have the words. He was the greatest! A very passionate man. His work is perfection. Tell me about his personality. His portrait looks very deep and intense but I think that's because of all the artistic talent and passion in him and that shows. No wonder you're so proud of him. Who wouldn't be! I love art myself and I know great work when I see it. That takes a lot of hard work and concentration, I know. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your sharing these with us. I would love to see more so if you put some up please PM me and let me know.
@LadyGrace

Thank you .. unfortunately, he died of cancer …
🤗🌹
@Soossie I'm so sorry, honey.
@LadyGrace

Thank you my friend … ❤️
Abstraction · 61-69, M
Stunning. I'm not articulate on sculptures, but there is a robustness; grace; repose; intrigue; sometimes a play of the rawness of earth/ nature against the delicate texture of living things. You feel them.
I'm fascinated by the person. Not clear what he was thinking, I don't know him. But for me it brings to mind the fragility of our living bodies that hold us within life with our thoughts, feelings, preferences, interactions as long as we live... but dust thou art and to dust thou shalt return.
And it's a magnificent portrait of him. Appropriately sculptural.
@Abstraction

Thank you so much for sharing your feelings about his art …

I trusted that there was a thought and a feeling behind his works, most of which felt like his own body and soul…
Pfuzylogic · M
I am earmarking this post for Art. He looks very distinguished and what an incredible sculptor!
@Pfuzylogic

By all means… thank you dear Pfuzy… 🤗🤗
Yulianna · 22-25, F
🤗 that's impressive stuff...
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@Soossie i am genuinely impressed... i wish i could see some in three dimensions, feel its energy, its proper power. 🕯🌻❤🌻🕯
@Yulianna

I know … when it comes to sculptures, one needs to see them in three dimensions … Also Hamid would allow his audience to touch them too … Especially when kids wanted to touch the birds …
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@Soossie 🤗🤗🤗
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Wow, those are really great. I am really gripped by the male looking decomposing body. Was that a self-portrait when he was dying.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Soossie did you ever meet any of the buyers?
@samueltyler2

All of them… yes…
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Soossie oh, my. They knew you were the models? How many are we speaking of?
Hatt94 · 56-60, M
Wow. Some great work here. Very talented.
I'm sorry for your loss.
@Hatt94

Thank you …. I’m glad that you liked them…
Lostpoet · M
third one up from the bottom is the best one.
@Lostpoet

That’s my favorite too… that’s a self portrait…… he made it when he was looking for his true love and that’s why you can see the empty places in his arms…
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Lostpoet I agree. It’s beautiful and sad
He was an incredible artist! Beautiful!

The first picture in black & white: he's incredibly familiar, was he well known/famous around the world?
@SW-User For sure, a camera friendly face!. 🙂 🎥
@SethGreene531

Thank you Seth…. He was a great artist in every second of his life …
@Soossie You're welcome Soossie. A great man, who was honored to know your love and friendship.
God rest his soul.

Wow, impressive
@FreeSpirit1

Thank you sweet Spirit… 🌹
Darin99branch · 51-55, M
Wow Soossie, the art is simply elegant, beautiful. I’m awed by artists that have his ability to take a feeling, emotion, and translate it into a physical manifestation. Truly a god given gift. And, you must’ve been a very handsome couple.
@Darin99branch

Hi my friend… thank you so much for understanding his art and the artist that he was ….. We both considered his art the core of our 14 years of marriage ….. and thank you for the kind compliment…
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@Ambroseguy80

Thank you ….. He was a great artist … 🙏🤗
These are beautiful, Soossie. ♥️ His attention to his art, I can only hope, came in the way he loved you.... The way you speak of him, celebrate his life, only speaks he gave you the same gift in attention of his (he)art. That love never leaves you.
@Soossie I feel I am tortured as a result, but I won't change those parts, nor can I now, as the intimacy that asked nothing to impart, to give thank you, while so difficult, I'd never change inside myself. It may never bring you anything, but how you give your love to those who need is what gives my love meaning.
@thewindupbirdchronicles

That’s a beautiful kind of love … I’m sorry that it still hurts you …
@Soossie I feel in a way I can never love someone again in real life now. I took a sabbatical of a kind to sort myself out, not saying I did well, but I know these teachings better than I ever could have before when I was angry ... and while I have a heart of compassion in love, can give to any open heart I feel, a part of me longs of solitude. It's sad, but I don't know how to keep that part from myself. You are a remarkable person in how you felt and give.
Orphic · F

wow, massive talent. so, you fall for artists too. they are special. is that a photo of him, or a photo he took?
@SW-User

We lived together for 14 years … we still loved each other when we divorced and stayed best friends until his last day of life…. His death was a great loss to me…

Many said that he looked like young Tommy Lee Jones…
SW-User
@Soossie i understand. i love my ex-husband too. he sends me pics of himself on the Appalachian Trail all the time. we are still growing old(er) together.

and they weren't wrong... but he was even better looking than TLJ

olderuncle944 · 70-79, M
beautiful work he did and he was a good looking man i can see the determination in his face, i truly loved all his work is there more you could show us?
@olderuncle944

Thank you … Of course … he worked every day and created many many beautiful pieces … I have the photos in my laptop which I rarely use …. here are photos of some bronzes that I have in my collection … the photos were taken for different purposes rather than the sculptures:

A wooden sculpture that I keep at home

olderuncle944 · 70-79, M
@Soossie @Soossie Was he a fan of Picasso,i like Picasso i find his work intriguing , but your husbands work is similar in some respect but you can tell the different creativity truth is I would love to have some of your husbands works instead of Picasso.
@olderuncle944

We liked Picasso’s early works … he was more inspired by Bazilik and Modiligani…

Thank you for your kind words

I love the Ram sculpture.....being from NZ.
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Soossie Yes. Way to big to shear. I love the horns. Looks like a Merino.
@KiwiBird

Actually it is called Merino …
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Soossie Of course it is. LOL. Australia has over 200 big things.....A Pineapple, an Orange, an Apple,a Galah, an Oyster, a Crayfish, a Prawn, a Bull, a Kangaroo etc etc and yes 15 metre high merino weighing 97 tonne. Modelled on Rambo a real Ram although long dead. There is a gift shop inside it.
