@Berrycherry with sailor moon they made the 4th season into two movies for Netflix. Man I hated the 4th season of the original because of all the pointless episodes. There was barely any story at all

@Berrycherry I didn't think an anime remake was necessary until i testbed the first season and realized it was not only 20 year old animation techniques but also SD resolution. I think a filler free HD reboot should do some good. But I'm concerned about Netflix past track record of dropping things prematurely.

@Mudkip One of the things about One Piece is that it is as much about all of the zany people and situations they run into along the way as it is about main character growth. So a lot of the filler seems to fit right in because it's about how they interact with zany people and places. And the island to island nature allows them to actually drop the filler in pretty seemlessly along the way.

I read the manga weekly. Anime I've got to the end of dressrosa... The Live Action did an amazing job of capturing the early spirit of one piece. The one thing the live action misses out on is the spotlight given to all the zany side characters we encounter. Like some of them still show up, but they are more background elements due to the pacing of the show. Which I understand.
I find myself addicted to ONE PIECE reaction videos to go on that emotional journey with people. And I almost never watch reaction videos. But something about people being drawn into One Piece is just amazing.
