One piece is such a Gem

@Mudkip It’s long. Heard their making a more condensed version but that won’t be for several years but the anime is worth it just skip filler

@Berrycherry there is a lot of original anime they are bringing back remade. I loved sailor moon Crystal. I was excited to find the original on Hulu. I couldn't believe how many pointless episodes the original had.

@smileylovesgaming Ya I won’t be for awhile as they likely won’t start till after the current anime is done which won’t happen till the manga is done. But still I think it will be good. They have done shortened arc remakes of one piece but I haven’t honestly liked them

@smileylovesgaming The manga is massively popular. The show is good just bad pacing due to how Manga-Anime goes. Because the Anime team needs to let the Manga get further ahead so they have to drag episodes out sometimes

@Berrycherry kind of like dragon ball super. The Manga is like 3 seasons a head of the show. We are still waiting for it to return

@Berrycherry Kai was just a remake of z. I even heard they never finish it because of the dvd sells

@smileylovesgaming Kai was a remake but it was massively cleaned up pacing wise and cut out filler and drawn out junk which I think is what this new one piece will do plus better animation

@Berrycherry I did see a few episodes of Kai in the Vegeta season. I hated how they cut out complete scenes that made stuff not make since

@smileylovesgaming Ya they will need to be carful with that. I think they can do it though. There is already a fan version of one piece were it’s the same animation and everything the just shorten some scenes that aren’t super important to the plot or anything so it moves along more. Or doesn’t have flashbacks every 2 mins

@Berrycherry with sailor moon they made the 4th season into two movies for Netflix. Man I hated the 4th season of the original because of all the pointless episodes. There was barely any story at all

@Berrycherry I didn't think an anime remake was necessary until i testbed the first season and realized it was not only 20 year old animation techniques but also SD resolution. I think a filler free HD reboot should do some good. But I'm concerned about Netflix past track record of dropping things prematurely.

@Mudkip One of the things about One Piece is that it is as much about all of the zany people and situations they run into along the way as it is about main character growth. So a lot of the filler seems to fit right in because it's about how they interact with zany people and places. And the island to island nature allows them to actually drop the filler in pretty seemlessly along the way.
