Have you ever seen a raccoon in a zoo?

About 10 years ago, I was looking out my bedroom window about 3 AM without my glasses and I saw the biggest rat I'd ever seen. I went to get my glasses and when I got back it was gone. A few days later a neighbor asked if I had seen our neighborhood raccoon. It lived under the other building. I saw it several times.

they live wild in my neighbourhood. i see them often and it's one reason i wouldn't let my cat outside. there are 4 of them here in this dumpster at my old building

No not in the uk, but perhaps I missed seeing them.
