When was the last time you went to the zoo?

My house [b][i]is[/i][/b] a zoo. 😂

Probably about 2017
Redz Zoo in Pinjarra.
I came away most saddened by the conditions the animals were living in.
I spoke to one of the staff to relate this and was promised that change is on the cards but would take years. So the animals have to endure quite a sad situation.
There were 20 Kangaroos in an enclosed area no more 2000 square meters.
There were Emus in an even smaller area.
I vowed never to visit another zoo because no matter how "modern" they are, wild animals should be wild and free.

I go every year just before spring when it feels like the cold is never going to end and wander around the conservatory and feel like I'm in a jungle and warm up. I'll go see the animals first since I'm there.

October 2021, with my daughter, her husband, and their kids. The zoo near them had a special event for Halloween: Boo at the Zoo. (It was really just a normal zoo day, with some decorations and treats.)

Had to pick up their sign from their workshop and install it along the major arterial road.

Free entry , of course and then got to see the Rhinos and Elephants …

Last year..it’s a wildlife sanctuary tho but all the same
