Day One 🖤 Grounding
It felt different. Not just because it had been awhile, but because I'm never the same person when setting foot in these woods. I was a very different person today.
I didn't expect myself to feel anything profound. I didn't bring my little notebook or foraging bag. I spent most of the walk with an inner anxiety monologue. But I allowed it. With each step I felt less like stressing and more like being my own friend. Creatively I could call it all a failure but I'm not pushing anymore. This is my time.
It was a good hike too. Sweaty and buggy. I felt like a real animal after.
🖤
The ocean made me forget about the anxiety all together. A full length sparkling gown glistening, my queen. The sun was warm, the water was warm and the beach was pretty quiet. Still weather to enjoy that's for certain. But the sands will need time to recover from the trampling. There's not a shell to be found.
Saw some cool surfing ducks...
And spotted a few dolphin way out...
I love the little wave curl tails...
I wore my new prescription sunglasses. Wow lol I've been missing out.
I showered and gua sha'd.
Dinner was so healthy, thai coconut ground turkey with brown rice, avocado, marinated chick peas and pumpkin seeds.
My body is so happy today.
My mind breaking in ways it needs to.
I was productive and also got my son a little surprise for surviving his first day of seventh grade.
The dogwood berries are turning red. The acorns are falling. I am enjoying every moment.
Things will be different now. I just don't care anymore how people behave. I'm not disappointed anymore. I am who I am and have the same right to exist as anyone. People can violate me and I'm just gonna say, give it to me harder daddy.
And it appears I've made an intense new acquaintance 💀 Who knows yet, I may write about him, but it may just be a passing moment.
All I'll say is, he's a creature like me 🖤
With that, I wish you good night from my little world.
