I killed a vulture

It wasn’t intentional. Several vultures flew right into the road and I hit one. Add this to the squirrel from 10 years ago (that still makes my stomach turn when I think about the sound and feeling of running over it) and I’m almost a serial animal killer.

I kept driving. In the rear view I saw the bird lying on the road, its giant black wingspan completely filling up one lane.

That happened to me today when I was driving... a squirrel waited until I got beside it, then it darted out in front of me. I've concluded that the squirrel was wanting to commit suicide and chose me to be his enabler, so I feel no remorse at the moment. Maybe 10 years from now I will, but not right now.
