I was fishing in a home-made cypress boat in a swamp, concentrating on my fishing line when a bobcat let out a scream about 20 feet away from me. I nearly jumped out of the boat. It was sitting on a stump, staring at me. Then it just trotted away, content that it had scared the heck of a teenage human.
