Immune to rabies. They're really not bad to have around. They are one of natures living vacuum cleaners.

@Gibbon They actively hunt rats, and eat loads of insects, I encourage them to hang out. We had a little female for a while that was half tame, she'd let you scratch behind her ears and feed her treats.

@UnderLockDown I believe it. I used to put out food for feral cats and opossums were the first of other critters to discover it. I could sit on the steps near the bowls and they became accustomed to my presence. I had to stop putting food out when a fox started showing up. They are cat killers.
