Ha! One Of That Fat Squirrels Saw Me Take The Trash To The Garbage Can…

It jumped up into the tree to hide from me. I came back outside with a container of fancy bird seed (fruit & nuts & shelled sunflower seeds) and shook it to make noise. The squirrel was back in the bird feeder eating what was left and I walked over to fill up it up. The squirrel got out of the feeder and climbed about a foot away into the crook of the tree and peeked around and watched me refill the feeder. I think these squirrels enjoyed the leftover cornbread I put out this week for them. Anyway it seems this one is close to becoming a friend.

@4meAndyou I just checked the feeder and they ate all of the fruit and peanut pieces that were in it…taking the best goodies first.

@4meAndyou if they get hungry enough in the winter they’ll chew the tender bark off of the wild sapling trees that the next door neighbor lets grow up around the fence. But they sure like that cornbread.
