Ontario Bear reporting hotline now open

The Ontario bear reporting hotline opened a month early this year. Bears are coming out of hibernation early because of unusually warm weather.

I know this is the most important thing you could have read today!

I don't think this hotline will be as popular as the Ontario Beaver reporting hotline (the phone is ringing off the hook there!)

I see buds on the trees this morning, this is insane!
Mmiker · 46-50, M
@JimboSaturn why insane? It’s beautiful. Nothing is deteriorating. Very grateful
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Mmiker It's too early for the buds to come out along with the other perennials. If the weather gets colder, they will be damaged. It's completely abnormal and out of balance for spring to begin 2 months early.

I guess you need to keep some of that bear spray around
That's cool , I hope I see one when I visit again
travelguy01 · 41-45, M
What will happen if you report a bear?
tenente · 100+, M
@travelguy01 something unbearable(?) 🤷‍♂️
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@travelguy01 they just track locations of the bears. They won’t hurt them
travelguy01 · 41-45, M
@Jenny1234 Just the…”bear” necessities….
tenente · 100+, M
pretty sure i'm being followed by a moose 👀 is there a hotline i can call? or, just pull the fire alarm(?)
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@tenente report to local dept of natural resources
