Halp!!! Send in reinforcements!!

Saw a daddy long leg near my bed!! It finally went a bit away from me on my wall but now I can't find it. Ughh. I just hope it doesn't crawl near my face in the night. One day years ago I awoke with a stink bug on my freaking nose!! Ajhhhh!!! I wanted to capture the spider in a cup but I'm too tired.
Please tell me it'll stay on the opposite side of the room... Please ?!?! 😣🫨

Are you sure it was a daddy long-legs? Those usually live outdoors. What lives indoors is brown recluse spiders. They have long-skinny legs and they are venomous. You don’t want to get bit by one for sure. I wish you had captured it in a cup and took a picture. Have dealt with those spiders a lot in one home that I live in out in the country.

@cherokeepatti It was not brown recluse luckily. It had really long legs.

We used to call them "thousand leggers". They are harmless but who could blame you for not wanting them crawling on you. Heres a helpful hint. The smell of peppermint overwhelms their senses. They stay away from that. You can get bags of peppermint seeds at hardware stores or on Amazon. Or in a pinch if you have any peppermint candies have them near you as you sleep
I have some of those in my room too. Pretty sure they crawl on me at night. I have had some vivid dreams of them on my face and I wake up flailing around but of course they are long gone by then. They just want to eat the bugs that are also crawling on you or flying around the room.

I hate spiders. Daddy long legs are harmless though. They hate being disturbed, he's probably gone far away now. They do eat all the insects, other spiders and bugs though.

They don’t bite. They aren’t spiders. They are quite lovely and like the warmth of our hands

@Jenny1234 I just hope it doesn't crawl on my face like I had years ago with a stink bug..or not in my mouth, I have no idea if my mouth is closed or open when sleeping lol
