If one is in a place where I think it will be safe from being harmed, I usually leave it be. If not, I get something flat and relocate it.

They are hard to catch and release without breaking one of its legs in the process. I don’t see many around these days. Maybe they are becoming extinct too.

I don't usually bother them. If they get too feisty, and remain out in the open, I have a cat now who considers ALL creepy crawlies his personal toys.
Just an interesting fact...daddy long legs are THE most poisonous spider on this planet...BUT...their mouths are so tiny they can't open them far enough to bit us!

Throw it back out and try to find the breach in my house.
Kill it if I am alone or take it outside of my nature loving friends are around. If others in the area are not too panicked I’ll use paper and cup to take it out - if they’re freaking out over seeing it I’ll just pick it up by hand since that’s faster
