My place is getting invaded by spiders!

@RadiantRuby what kind of spiders are they? Can you send a picture?

You could use pesticides but you don't want to kill all of them. They're helpful taking care of ants and the like

@Longpatrol they don't look scary at all they are very skinny and light colour

@RadiantRuby that sounds like brown recluse spiders, look for a photo of those…the younger ones are lighter in color than the older ones. They are venomous.

Venomous she says...RR if you think it's brown recluses burn down your house any neighbouring property and just for good measure nuke your state from orbit. @cherokeepatti

@Longpatrol they make natural pesticides now that won’t poison people or pets. But the thing about brown recluse spiders is that they nest where things aren’t moved around much. My daughter got bit while sorting her laundry at her apartment. She might have waited a couple of weeks before doing it. I’ve seen them in a laundry basket at the dorms and had to get it out for a student and kill it. They’ll get in piles of papers, clothes, in piles of dusty old books. A worker at the university got bit on the arm when she went into an area not frequented much called “the stacks” and was dusting off old books…had a neighbor that got bit pulling on a pair of pants (yikes), he didn’t want to have closets in his house after that because he was laid up for 6 months healing up.
