We had a Wolf spider in the kitchen one time, he was hiding from the cats. They're a very clever bunch.

@Allelse I know lol I was kind of amazed that the spider was letting him save it, like it was holding up each of its legs to almost be like "this one next" lmao.

There was this spider I posted about a little while ago that while its kind was known for doing what's called building a decoy in its web, the way it moved the decoy and the detail spent on the decoy was the first they've seen. It was a decoy that almost precisely mimicked the look of the spider in every way, including all of its eight legs.

All the other spiders of its kind built decoys but it was more bulky and not detailed. This was more defining. Definitely was a surprise.

I think its great. Them helping a spider out. I always put big spiders outside, because I worry about the cats getting at them.

Yeah they're pretty clever. There's a Tarantula in south America I think that keeps a pet frog to guard its eggs. You see little bug bastards come and try and eat the eggs, but the Tarantula is too damn big to stop the bugs, so he gets himself a little frog to do the job for him. The frog gets protection and gets to eat the bugs.
