I hate our obsession with lawns.

If I don't have it mowed soon the neighbors are going to get pissy. But we've had wildflowers come up and we've got so many bees visiting the flowers. I don't want to mow them down. We need to be helping bees thrive.

I hear ya! Too often, perfect grass is more important than a garden for fruit and veggies...and yes, I'd leave it til the flowers and bees are all done. :)
