@EldritchFox it's just too bad that they're so short lived, as far as cats and dogs go.

@EldritchFox yea. I know that's great advice. I'm still getting over the loss of a whole pack of Doberman Pinschers of which I'd raised their parents from puppies. They were from 2 unrelated pairs of parents.

I've had dogs all my life but they were the first two that I'd ever had that were in tact. So I kept them in tact but my wife had other plans about them breeding and left them unattended for a few min and that was all they needed to provide us with a litter of 9 , ten weeks later.

After rehoming 3 of them, I decided to keep the rest . The plan was to give them to returning veterans to help them with their transition back into civilian life. It's a long process and along the way, I got too attached. I got hooked on all that oxytocin.

I loved watching them interact with my son too.
