I had a whole pack of Doberman Pinschers. It was the parents and their litter of 9 pups, 8 boys, one girl. After selling 3 of the pups and how dissatisfied i was about that experience and how satisfying their company was to me, over that of humans, i decided to keep the rest and you could make so many predictions based on their individual personalities. Although they thrashed my house and my yard and put strains on my relationship with my neighbors, animal control, the city police, campus police and county Sheriff, as well as a lot of city government departments, I've got no regrets over the experience however I would never do it again.
One of the coolest things was waking up under a pile of Doberman Pinschers, all of whom waiting to greet me. And when I would yawn, it would set up a chain reaction of all of them yawning contagiously from mine.
The reason I decided to keep them was because as a combat veteran, I felt all their love and it made me feel things that I hadn't felt in many years and I wanted to share that experience with other returning veterans. But in order to do so, I had to get them evaluated for service. Dogs can't be evaluated for service until they're at least a year old. During that year, my bond with them grew so strong that I couldn't imagine parting with any of them and I felt responsible for them and responsible to provide them the life I had been providing them through it's completion
