They can't. Life-span depends on evolution and genetics. Tampering with genetics has consequences.

@SW-User Try to think of them as companions and really in many way we have let them live longer with care. Not everything is a testament to how evil people are, and some are evident how to people are kind. I see those who care for animals as kind.

much as we love our animals especially pets and hate to see them die sadly this is the process of life .extending there life span could be cruel in a sense as there health may deteriate that it is cruel [right or wrong]
