No criminal record

You know it’s freaking sad but my caseworker said “you have NO criminal record. You’re in my 1%.”

Reality is I did drink and drive. I just never got caught. I feel terrible about it. Never hurt anyone but I coped through life with alcohol. I couldn’t function without it and I knew getting help would lead to this financial crisis so I was reluctant all this time

This stuff won't last forever. I know when you're deep in the muck it can feel like this is the rest of your life, but really it's just the beginning of a new chapter. There's not a human alive that hasn't messed up before. What separates those who aren't worth a damn from those who are is how you choose to own up to it. Do you try to do better for yourself and others, or do you keep chasing those fleeting highs?
