Update on my mom
My mom is going to die.
For any who missed my original post, she fell due to untreated alcoholism and got a brain bleed.
First she was getting better. Then she got a second brain bleed and the damage is so bad we were told she would be basically brain dead the rest of her life. Maybe needing to be on full life support. Because the damage is frontal lobe damage she wouldn't be herself and her behavior may be bizarre if she even is able to be conscious again.
My dad was saying she wouldn't want to live like that and I agreed with him. My mom was a social butterfly who loved to exercise, dance and garden before alcoholism took her. She would never want to be trapped hooked up to tubes with a broken brain.
I knew this would happen eventually. My parents wouldn't take steps to stop it. I feel heartbroken.
