As an alcoholic myself, let me tell you: stray away from this path while you can! I know about loving the feeling of being inebriated all too well, truly. You let loose, you feel comfortable, you feel good and even if you cry, that feels good too. But you mustn’t become reliant on it. You will strain your relationships, you will fall out of touch with any passions and hobbies you may have, you may find yourself falling in trouble with the law, or otherwise, putting yourself or others at risk. Even if you do drink responsibly and even take measures to avoid having hangovers, your health will still be affected badly long-term. You can avoid a hangover, but there is no avoiding alcohol withdrawals when you’re sweating, shaking and even finding it hard to breathe. Far worse than any hangover!
Take my word for it as someone who’s already down this road and struggling to get away from it: you do not want this. Stop while you can. If you must drink, keep it occasional, at least. A treat for yourself once in a while. Just whatever you do, do not make a habit out of it. All the best to you. 🫂
