How do u cook spinach?

@SW-User I do this too. Sometimes I add garlic powder or some chopped onions, but most of the time it's just olive oil, salt, and pepper.

With leafy greens, I pull out my dad's modified recipe to cook Utica Greens.

Which my dad's version includes cooked greens in oil, some cut up meat pieces (usually ham), some cheese (usually parmesan), other veggies and usually stays away from the hot stuff that some versions call for using, as my Mom wasn't a fan of hot, but you could add in your own hot later.

I like to use fresh baby spinach leaves. I melt a little butter, (about 1 Tablespoon), in a large frying pan, and then I add an equal amount of Light Tasting EVO, and two cloves of fresh garlic, minced, to the pan and keep the heat on low while the garlic cooks. The garlic should not brown.

In the meantime I put the washed spinach in my salad spinner, and spin till dry. (No matter how long you spin it, the leaves will retain enough water to cook.

Dump the spinach in the frying pan and just toss very quickly to coat the leaves with oil and butter, and turn off the heat.

Grate fresh parmesan cheese over the top, toss again, and serve.

With orzo usually, or in a quiche along with mushrooms. If I was good at making phyllo I'd be making spanakopita but I have other people do it for me 😌

@JoyfulSilence Just a little. I think it is usually half teaspoon of sugar, half teaspoon of vinegar.
I would put it in a stir fryer, add some spices cooking up to perfection then toss it out the window. 😊

I can’t eat that stuff 🤢🤢
