@Softandsweet2 A few logs to make me a homemade bench ,hidden from others ,,I would spend time there in the cool of the day
I used to be so wound up the last thing I wanted was to be alone with my thoughts ,,but now my mind is settled
I find a lot of joy sitting around ponds and streams

My sitting place is my front porch. It's actually quieter than the trail and nice in summer. I'm getting some plants to give it some color.

@Softandsweet2 I love a day bed on a porch
I was offered a condo for free ,,
the deck was screened ,bamboo curtains to block rain and the sun
I lived on the deck (covered like a porch ,lots and lots of plants hanging and on stands )
I let my room mate use the condo ,I lived on the porch
I lived on another friends screen porch for 6 months
The always tried to get me inside ,,especially when it rained (things got damp but I was prepared for that )
I love a porch or deck ,,tent or tree house
If I am surrounded by trees and plants ,birds
I am content ...well since 1994
Before then ,,being alone with my thoughts was the last thing I wanted ,,but I have peace of mind again
I can sleep anywhere ,,but I love the woods and on the water

@rckt148 I love to sleep on the porch when it's raining. I actually haven't done it in some time, but I used to have a cot that I used. The rain just puts me to sleep. Add some distant thunder rumbles and I'm in heaven. I always open the window now.
