My wife was very composed and strong when she was diagnosed. She was 4 months pregnant. She focused on doing her best for our 4 yo and our unborn baby. She was amazing. She gave birth to a healthy, beautiful daughter but sadly it was terminal and she died when our baby was 9 months. It was devastating. Looking back I am amazed more and more by her strength and bravery though.

@SW-User life can be a fucker some times

I was shocked. It's only stage 2, so it's being treated, and I should be in remission hopefully by the new year. It's made me appreciate life more, the little things mean so much, and things bother me less.

@4meAndyou exactly. Just a bump in the road for me, and something that will make me stronger in the end.

@SW-User You stay strong. I have seen your posts, and you are a good lady.

@4meAndyou thank you so much. I'll do the best I can

Been on my mind all weekend. It is kinda interesting. You value stupid things that are important to you and no one else. Like who will take care of my dog? Who will feed my deer. Weird stuff like that. 🤷♀️

I have been there I found out the cancer is much of a mental challenge as it is a physical one.
I think everybody's initial response is I'm not going to make it but then you don't say that you keep that to yourself you put on Brave face and you say I'm going to fight this and you go to war with cancer
You will find yourself doing things for the ones you love more for than for yourself.
Green Bay who may read this by chance 1 things I do recommend is them to immediately get on marijuana it is god-given there's a purpose in it there's a reason it's here
I gained 40 pounds on chemo and kept my hair I was occasional user before became a regular user immediately underneath the suggestion of a good friend who is a doctor.
You don't have to smoke it you can put in cookies you can do a lot of different ways with it but it is a purpose in it for me it really helped but our greatest fear is once you've had cancer it said it would always return if you sneeze 4 times instead of 3 it scares you every little bump every little thing that goes on you think here it is again

I'd just admit defeat. I'm not going through that again.

@AcidBurn Sorry you ever had to encounter that, at all.
I hope you're okay. 🤗

I'd go kill myself than suffer in pain waiting for my death.

As a 13 year old and back in the 70s it never sunk in for a long time but 47 years later and 27 operations i am still here and still fighting.

I've actually had prostate cancer, and whilst it came as as a bit of a shock, it wasn't entirely unexpected as so many men suffer from this. I worried quite a bit about it with a few disturbed and sleepless nights until I found the extent of the cancer and then once I started treatment I didn't worry anything like so much. Ive now had an operation and radio therapy treatment, and on my last check up was completely clear.
4meAndyou · F
@Greengiant65 My brother had that, and was successfully treated. He is clear also.
Greengiant65 · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou I'm very glad to hear that.

Omg I’d just off myself, I don’t have the energy for any of that
SW-User
Thats it. Time to go.
LucyFuhr · 56-60, F
I was surprisingly calm.
Hikingguy · 56-60, M
I’ve actually thought about this. This plays out in a lot of different scenarios, but to be honest, not sure how I would actually react. Scary thought though.
Rutterman · 46-50, M
It would depend on the kind of cancer and how far along it was.
SW-User
I don't think I would freak out, really. There's no point in that.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User No, and it isn't real at first.
mountainman1234 · 70-79, M
If we can cure it then get at it if it can not be then enjoy what time you have left ,,,,

If it was terminal, I would stop working and live out my days in the countryside.
SW-User
Wouldn't care. I don't have much worth living for anyway.
nevergiveup · M
i got it when i was 13 now i am 60 and still going.
FeetAreFantastic · 41-45, M
I'd be devastated and then try to arrange for assisted suicide.
