If you found out you had cancer, how would you react?

I've actually had prostate cancer, and whilst it came as as a bit of a shock, it wasn't entirely unexpected as so many men suffer from this. I worried quite a bit about it with a few disturbed and sleepless nights until I found the extent of the cancer and then once I started treatment I didn't worry anything like so much. Ive now had an operation and radio therapy treatment, and on my last check up was completely clear.
