Abusers are always nice to everyone else. It skews arguments in their favor.

People can behave different depending on the person. That doesn't mean they're not abusive, they are still abusive but not to everyone.

Like seriously, if that is your response to hearing about a serious abuse allegation you need to reconsider your moral choices, christ.

The biggest abusers count on that reaction. They will constantly lobby others to make the victim as a false accuser.

Good way to find out who really cares about you, regardless of their sunny attitude about the person in question, who may actually be a turd. Its not about them being "positive" necessarily, its often about what they think of YOU.

That’s just this site in general, so many users have this false perception of certain users on here due to the online persona that person displays in public. The loyalty they hold behind some of the users they know close to nothing about is disturbing.

I've used that line before, but never in a "ah, he didn't do anything bad type thing".
Mine was meant more so in the way of "never seen it myself".😬lol
Doesn't mean it didn't happen tho.
I've written a post on this though because oftentimes when someone gets a warning people will rally around a lot. Talk about how nice they are. Say how they've never done anything wrong to them.

Being nice in the past doesn't mean you don't do bad things at times in the present. And it doesn't mean you are incapable of it. And no one is ever treated the same honestly.
There is personal bias even if we try not to have it. I try to treat everyone the same personally. There are little differences.

Its the big differences that count I suppose(acting noticeable abusive asf with one person and kind to another). Smaller ones aren't so big of a deal(example being a preference for interacting with one person more closely than another)

My parents were abusive towards me but everyone loved them so I totally get it.

It's prominent. I know I'm guilty of having friends that hate each other but I would never use that line.

I would listen and try to understand. If my friend is a repeat offender, then I have to make a hard decision to cut it off.

The best response is no response, and silently recognising that your friend may have another side to them
