@midnightsun By travelling to the past; I could campaign for change and while no one bothered to listen. So here's the idea; go back in time. Show them how f***ed up the world becomes and change it so this world we currently live in doesn't exist. And since I'd become an established line of events in the alternate 70s I wouldn't fade away. So yay.

@jackson55 The songs, the environments I saw in photos, the culture at the time. I know Hippies did drugs and all that but they certainly knew how to have fun and party in moderation compared to the awful parties I've heard of in modern times where people can get so high on manipulated drugs they end up getting killed.

@SW-User I was in the music business in the 70’s and saw too many ruin their lives with drugs.

@Thevy29 Because while he is okay with companions staying on Parallel World ala Mickey and Rose. I get the feeling that he'd feel uneasy about leaving a modern day person in the past to live out their live. With Amy and Rory, he didn't really have any choice due to the Angel intervention but when it's a choice, he'd probably have some speech about established timelines or something. The Doctor (of old) certainly has his morals.

@Stereoguy From looking at photos online, I loved the look of cars back then. They look beautiful and differently structured. Nowadays all cars look disappointingly the same like they all go off the same playbook. :'(

I often think that if before I head back, I'd get some currency from that time period. So it'd make things easier. :-)

And I agree, from what my parents tell me; they wanted to bring me up with the kind of common sense and attitudes that they were brought up to be. And while I'm glad they did, I do feel that I kind of have the attitude of a world that doesn't fit me anymore.
