@Thevy29 As much as I love The TARDIS. She's a living being. I would want a time machine that I can destroy once I'm settle in that time. Killing a TARDIS is murder.

@SW-User Who says you can't get the Doctor to just let you off. He/she can go along on their merry way.

@Thevy29 Because while he is okay with companions staying on Parallel World ala Mickey and Rose. I get the feeling that he'd feel uneasy about leaving a modern day person in the past to live out their live. With Amy and Rory, he didn't really have any choice due to the Angel intervention but when it's a choice, he'd probably have some speech about established timelines or something. The Doctor (of old) certainly has his morals.
