I Have a Question

What helps anxiety?
SW-User
Square breathing it's like four seconds in hold for four seconds then four out.
Mainly helps prevent panic attacks tho

@SW-User what's square breathing? Deep breaths in and out
@SW-User I've never heard of that

@Lovelyelaine101 @HelloHelloNde helps me temporarily obviously not a long term fix but helps distract the mind :)

I'm a huge fan of guided meditation and breathing. If you look up some basic mindfulness exercises you'll find some cool ones.

I like visualizing myself somewhere safe (for me I do the beach but it could be anything) and you try to visualize and place your senses there (i.e. What does it feel/smell/etc. like?)

Anything sensory you can play or fidget with (i.e. Playdough, stress balls, even a bracelet)

Lastly, maybe it's a small quirk but I really like feeling my heartbeat with my fingers. I find that when it's racing, feeling it helps me to actually bring it down?

@Okaythenbud I have a fidget spinner and I need to get play dough

Meditation and exercise are wonderful for that.

Also, journalling can help get rid of any thoughts you're having that are triggering the anxiety.
