I Am Going to Say Something Controversial
From an American's perspective, here is why Donald Trump was chosen to lead the Republican Party, instead of some other contender? What some Americans see in DT that make him appear as the best option. [NOW with no censorship]
D. Trump offers those who feel they have been ignored and socially mistreated a way to strike back without risking anything. They hide behind a loudmouth who has given them the illusion he represents them. He offers simple solution-solution sounding easy-to-remember words and catch-phrases that (some) people find comforting (build a wall, wipe out ISIS, make things better, win, etc.). There's a reason why the polls suggest that those with less education seem obsessively drawn to him. Let's face it, all of the candidates left standing and the parties they represent have serious flaws (more so than candidates from prior election cycles). But, in addition to representing the (new) Republican party also represents the very worst in each of us.

That is very wrong. You really have no comprehension. One of the main reasons for the support of Donald Trump is that ISIS is a very real threat. The "refugees"have an abnormally high percentage of men, and mostly fighting age men. The "refugees" are coming from the area where ISIS is based. ISIS considers westerners as their enemies.
With all of this of course ISIS is planing on coming into the U.S. with the refugees. When someone joins ISIS there is no record of them joining ISIS, no amount of vetting will find a record that is not there. Vetting is a farce and Hillary counts on people who have comprehension problem (such as yourself) to not comprehend the obvious reality. People that can't think for themselves buy her lies that Trump is a racist, when he just wants to prevent a large number of ISIS members from coming in.
You would think that even if people are not smart enough to comprehend the real ISIS threat (such as yourself). Thay you would pay enough attention to what's going on around the world, these refugees are doing incredible damage to other countries. Do you even have any idea what's going in in Germany?
Also, unlike Hillary, Trump has great plans to create lots of jobs, bringing manufacturing back to the U.S.

In a way, yes, but with an important distinction. Jack was a child in his own right without much life experience which accentuates the human tragedy of the story. Kids became monsters without the life experience to know better. Trump has life experience and SHOULD know better, but doesn't.

Anyone who jumps to so many generalized conclusions is not "really" intelligent. The thing is, Trump isn't being criticized for being a racist because he doesn't want terrorists to enter the country. No one is actually advocating to bring in terrorists. NO ONE. He is being called out for being racist because he wants to "paint" an entire group of people with a stereotype and apply that stereotype as an easy and formulaic way to create the illusion he (and he alone) is solving a problem. Like anyone with intelligence knows, to solve a problem, you need to start by identifying the root cause problem. And, the root cause problem is not and has never been ALL Muslims. And, attempting to ban all of them or backtracking and banning all people from "troubled regions" is only intended to appeal to the uneducated and unintelligent willing to take the bait. Consider yourself being reeled in...

So he's a bit like Jack from Lord of the Flies?

You're ignoring reality because you can't comprehend it You apparently believe everything the left tells you. I speak of facts, but you ignore facts. Hillary says the refugees will be vetted, yet it's impossible for anyone to detect a record that doesnt exist. The only way they could actually be vetted is with magic powers, not gonna happen. You did seem to ignore the fact that the refugees are causing problems in other countries, Germany's a mess! Since you're obviously very limited in intelligence, you may not be able to grasp the job plan. The U.S. has had a self imposed tarrif problem for decades. We don't charge the tarrifs everyone else does so it's cheaper to have work sent out to other countries. Trump wants to repair that problem, so it makes financial sense once again to buy products made in the U.S. Have some more kool aid!

Can you be any more idiotic in your recitation of campaign rhetoric? Saying, "I will destroy ISIS," "I will create jobs," "I am the only one who can make you safe" suggests you just want someone to read you a bedtime story so you can sleep soundly. There's nothing entirely wrong with that if that's your goal in life, but to solve any of those problems we need considerably more than the empty ring of clichés and (heavily edited) reality TV constructed drama. Admittedly, Clinton presents problems as well, but Trump offers no solutions other than giving you that good night's sleep you want. And, unfortunately, that's just not enough.

But, the true terror is the number of people (while still in the minority) who are flocking to his rating-grabbing antics.
wyolatex · 41-45, M
Well, you said it. He resonates with those who feel helpless and marginalized. He says the dark things that lurk within so many.
1961dave · 61-69, M
How he's going to do it is probably not let them in. He won't let them in unless he's sure he can screen ISIS, that's not possible. This refugee situation is unlike any we've had before. Is it appropriate behavior for America to let thousands of terrorists into the U.S. to kill lots if Americans on American soil. There is no good answer I'm not thrilled by turning refugees away either but in this case it's the only choice. Look what happened in France, that was only a few ISIS members, not thousands.
1961dave · 61-69, M
Not true, if you were intelligent enough to see how obvious these conclusions are you would realize that. That's not true at all about Trump. He has no problem with Muslims, or the refugees. He's said all along that the refugees are being used as a Trojan Horse by ISIS, so we can't let the refugees in unless there is an actual way for vetting to work. Consider yourself to have no grasp of what's going on, because that's the way it is!
wyolatex · 41-45, M
Or Snowball from Animal Farm. Really, "the Donald" is an egotistical demagogue!
1961dave · 61-69, M
I've been tested for it, I know I am. But when people call Trump a racist because he wants to be cautious about bringing terrorists into the U.S., that's idiotic. When Hillary is planning on bringing refugees in from the region ISIS is in and says it will be fine because they will be vetted. But it's insanely obvious that that's not possible, yet her supporters believe it, that shows a huge defecit in intelligence!
1961dave · 61-69, M
I never said anything that would lead anyone to believe that I think every refugee is a terrorist. And the reason is because I don't think that. There's no fear, that'just what you Liberals like to say whenever us more inelligent people discuss terrorists. If you don't believe in ISIS fine don't, I'm gonna go get some food.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Try to rise above primitive insults and tired campaign rhetoric. All of your points neglect to answer, how is he going to do it? Simply outlawing entire groups because some within the group are terrorists leads us down a path selected humans have tried throughout history. It's not appropriate behavior for the USA.
1961dave · 61-69, M
The only reason Liberals have more than a handful of people supporting them is because they have people that listen to their BS, and have no real idea what's going on.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Who has convinced you every refugee is a terrorist? Who has scared you into thinking blocking entire groups of people will make you safe?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
I like how you self-proclaimed intelligent people think you really are intelligent.
