@TotalMiss And you've brought him to a different city? Is he an older cat? Sometimes those cats fight to become alpha cat in their own territory, and when moved, they will go back. It happened when we moved and took our own cat with us to a new town. He had been really scrappy in our old place and had established himself as boss cat in the neighborhood. After a couple of days in our new home, he disappeared. About a week or so later, my aunt called to say the people who had moved into our house brought him to her, because we had told her that Jimmy had left home. She spoke to the new tenants to tell them to watch for a black cat with half his left ear missing, and if he showed up to bring him to her. So, we agreed that he should live with her. But that wasn't good enough. He kept going back to the house. Eventually the people who lived there asked if they could just keep him. And there he lived for several more years. We missed him, but he missed home.

@bethsmiles: that's okay. I see faces of all manner of things....everywhere I look. Animals people demons....you name it. I see them mostly in tiles, but also, in things that are hung up. I saw a beautiful black lady wearing a colourful scarf, when my daughter hung up a black t-shirt with a colourful design on the front. The way it was draped on the back of the chair, looked just like a woman. I saw a smiling alien in the way a wheelie bag had sagged when it was empty.

@bookerdana It is called Pao d'Arco tea. The loose leaves are better than the tea bags , but it can be bought in bags too.

You can find the info online. I am not going to be the one to say people should use it, but that man had nothing left to lose. He still drinks it, but after he was better, he reduced it to one cup a week. I drink a cup a week, just as a possible preventive measure. Is it working? I don't know, but I don't have cancer. That proves nothing, except that it doesn't cause cancer. But still I use it.

@bookerdana the thing is, if you're told there is nothing left to do but die, there is no reason not to try whatever is offered.

Nearly 20 years ago, I met a woman in her 80s who had been told she only had about three weeks left. Given a choice to stay in a hospice care facility or go home to die, she chose to go home. But as she put it, she chose to go home to live whatever time she had left, not to wait for death. When I met her, it was seven months after she was supposed to have died.

Her secret, she said, was that every day when she awoke she opened her bedroom drapes and said "Thank you Lord for another day" then after her daily visit from her home care nurse, she would go out and met and greet people. In fine weather she walked around the neighbourhood, and when it was inclement weather, she took a bus to a mall and spent time meeting and greeting people indoors.

I imaging she is dead by now, but she kept herself alive by pure will power and a desire to make the most of every day. I think we do have the power to heal ourselves. But not all of us can tap into that.

To see the way they themselves will be perceived when others discover their deceptions. It's what I say about all kinds of cheating. You may profit from it in the short run, but in the long run, deep inside, you know it's cheating and cheating makes you a loser.

Some people don't have that ability, that insight, to know that what they're doing is showing a lack of character and decency. They lack the inner strength to do it honestly. I think that says they have no faith in themselves.

And sadly, no matter how much money they make, the inner core will always be a loser.

I'd rather be a low income winner than a rich loser.

@in10RjFox Exactly. So many members complain about the abuse, yet, it's the members who are abusing both the other members and the site in general. If you recall, when SW first started, many people were predicting, with glee, that it wouldn't last. I've no idea why the ones who missed EP so much, when it crashed, didn't stick around to work on building a new, and better house to live in, instead of standing on the sidewalk jeering at the ones who were trying to make this a new home.

@Serenitree unlike FB, EP connected us to strange new people .. we just don't want to be around with known people who only end up gossiping.. EP was good place to showcase our creative side with anonymity which FB never allowed. So I had many come up to me and talk. But when the jerks started misbehaving and harassing, is when things started to takea turn, making many aggravated and irritable. So the good and genuine started to take the beating too. And that's what SW suffered as they had to start it with jerks.

But I still don't understand is why they hang around if they dislike and become spoilers ..
