I Wish All Friends Were Forever Friends

This is my own personal whiteboard. Pull up a chair, grab a coffee and visit a while. Invite a friend if you like.

justmerae did something I find interesting on her personal whiteboard. She added how she's feeling. I love that idea. I'm going to add it to mine, along with the local weather and maybe a quote of the day and a song of the day.
Those things can actually be changed each day because we have the ability to edit our main post.

And a picture of the day. vvvvvvvvv Right here.

[image deleted]My daughter created this on some digital art program. I don't remember the name of it.

@Serenitree Cool,I'm glad your WB is flourishing! Very nice place to rest your dawgs on a hot day!

@bookerdana I'm glad that people still peek in. I am not forcing it, but now and then I do edit it to change the mood of the day. But, it's just here, so, people will hopefully stop by when they notice it, if/when they look at my profile page. I still have hopes that it will become a *thing* with a lot more people. I feel it could be a fun thing for all, if it were to catch on.

@Serenitree Hard to make changes with this crowd, but it might happen
Serenitree · F
@bookerdana I promise, I'm not holding my breath, but stranger things have happened.

Tea cured my friend's friend of liver cancer when the doctors told him he had less than two months left to live. He decided he had nothing to lose by using this natural remedy, so he did. Ten years later, he is still alive and the doctors are still saying there must have been a misdiagnosis. Even the oncologist says it could have been that he never had cancer. Yet, he was the one who said he had less than two months.

If that can happen, so can this. The odds are against it, but I can dream.
bookerdana · M
@Serenitree What kind of tea?
Serenitree · F
@bookerdana It is called Pao d'Arco tea. The loose leaves are better than the tea bags , but it can be bought in bags too.

You can find the info online. I am not going to be the one to say people should use it, but that man had nothing left to lose. He still drinks it, but after he was better, he reduced it to one cup a week. I drink a cup a week, just as a possible preventive measure. Is it working? I don't know, but I don't have cancer. That proves nothing, except that it doesn't cause cancer. But still I use it.

Thats a great story despite all the buts!(disclaimers)

@bookerdana the thing is, if you're told there is nothing left to do but die, there is no reason not to try whatever is offered.

Nearly 20 years ago, I met a woman in her 80s who had been told she only had about three weeks left. Given a choice to stay in a hospice care facility or go home to die, she chose to go home. But as she put it, she chose to go home to live whatever time she had left, not to wait for death. When I met her, it was seven months after she was supposed to have died.

Her secret, she said, was that every day when she awoke she opened her bedroom drapes and said "Thank you Lord for another day" then after her daily visit from her home care nurse, she would go out and met and greet people. In fine weather she walked around the neighbourhood, and when it was inclement weather, she took a bus to a mall and spent time meeting and greeting people indoors.

I imaging she is dead by now, but she kept herself alive by pure will power and a desire to make the most of every day. I think we do have the power to heal ourselves. But not all of us can tap into that.
