Israel Palestine conflict

I think that there should be a two state solution. War isn't the answer as it only brings the destruction and loss of innocent lives. I hope Israel & Palestine would strive for peace. I support Palestine & I hope Israel will consider the basic human rights for palestinian as well. Palestine should be free !

It's such a goddamn mess because like... this is what's happened to the guaranteed Palestinian land per the UN partition.

How the hell do you turn that into a two-state solution? The territory is even less now than in 2012 as Israel continues forced relocations and settlements of Palestinian land.

What do the two states look like? Do you just give West Bank to the Israelis, or do you forcibly relocate all the Israel settlers out of West Bank, many of whom have been there for decades?

A one-state solution is something that speaks to me, but if you do that, Israel is no longer a Jewish state because they have to become co-equal with the Muslim population for that to work.

It’s not a conflict 😂 the Zionists who call themselves Israel invaded the country Palestine in the 1900s and “stole “ it by committing a genocide that wiped more than third of its population away , and kicked a majorly of them out of their home land and the rest who still live in the land are facing racial discrimination.
And don’t tell me “the Zionists Jews are only getting their land back”
Because we all know history, the canaanites are the original inhabitants of the land.
Abraham migrated to it later in his life and had his decedents even according to their holy books.
The Palestinians are the decedents of these canaanites or/And Jewish tribes
And have the right to their land

@Moon3624 Yeah it's not conflict clearly. It's one sided war begin by Israel obviously. Pardon me for using wrong word ! I feel really bad that how they made thousands of Palestinian homeless and they even bombed children . I'm not sure but I've read somewhere that IDF raped em as well? Idk bout it that's why nt pointing IDf for something idk but yeah they kill innocent people and there are many news and videos as well. It's really shocking that its happening in 21 century 😔

History obviously isn't your strongest point. You need to look at the rise and fall of the Ottoman Empire before you make such ignorant claims.

Look at the history of the 1967 and 1973 Middle-eastern wars - and ask yourself the question of why the Egyptians, the Jordanians and the Saudis have effectively abandoned the Palestinian cause.

If they don't consider each other worthy of human rights then that plateau of understanding can never be reached.

“War does not determine who is right.” It only determines who is left.

Israel will never agree to a two-state solution. Palestine will never agree to a one-state solution. Thus the fighting continues.

It seems to me that the idea of conflict and persecution has driven Israel for decades. Without enemies they would lose a lot. Including billions from the U.S. every year. Judaism, like Christianity, is big on enemies.
QueenandCrown · 41-45, F
@Ynotisay Exactly! There are Nations that thrives off of war.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
If I were the ruler of the world, I would separate the countries and make Israel be Israel, and Palestine be Palestine, and I would slap a big fat ass wall right between the two. They can each have control of their land, they each can build however they like, but they've proven to everyone that they have no desire to coexist and so we should not want them to.
QueenandCrown · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick Sound like the Rez.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@QueenandCrown Unfortunately yes it does.

Palestine has been left with little land as per regarding the new peace agreement by Israel. Don't you think that the partition should be fair ?
The Palestinians have been left with the land they have, as you put it, because of the two Middle-eastern wars of 1967 and 1973. Had the Arabs from Egypt and Jordan (primarily) not tried to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, Israel would have continued peacefully within its pre-1967 borders. Although I have sympathy with the innocent Palestinans I can also understand Israel's determination to protect its borders.

{@mishel ] cannot disagree woth anything you say . everything is true . if only it was that simple as this is a long running feud
ArtieKat · M
There are so many parallels with the troubles in Northern Ireland. There was no chance of peace until the Republic effectively renounced any claims to Ulster and the IRA/Sinn Fein gave up their guns in favour of the ballot box. Until Hamas quit firing rockets into Israel from tower blocks inhabited by families with young children there will be no chance of peace.
Ynotisay · M
@ArtieKat So Israel is the blameless nation? They don't really have a far right extremist leader doing whatever he can to stay in power which, clearly, means having enemies? Israel doesn't want peace. They never have. And personally as an American, I'm sick of us propping them up with big money and military. We give more to them than we do any other country and it's all about financing conflict. Israel does nothing in return. Number of troops to assist the U.S. in the wars with Afghanistan and Iraq? That would be zero. It's a one way street and I hope every "real American" out there screaming about the U.S. taking care of itself first wakes up to that.
ArtieKat · M
@Ynotisay I have never said Israel is blameless. I like to think I'm even-handed but you're talking crap, I'm afraid. I liked the sneakiness of editing the post AFTER I had replied - you should be a politician! 🤣
Ynotisay · M
@ArtieKat I added it because it crossed my mind. Is that ok with you? If that's your big concern then let's cut it out.
But 66 Palestinian children were killed by Israel. Two Israeli children died. One is too many but numbers don't lie.
Any issue with sticking with that fact?
Screw Israel.

War always solves territorial problems.

@SW-User No that's not right. Always Say no to War!
msros · F
Its a chronic problem and does not seem to end.
Minjiseong · F
@msros But still let's hope for peace among these countries

I have to agree the two state solution seems to be the only option.
However, Israel are unlikely to give up any land which would make it difficult.
Time the US put more pressure on Israel to settle this once and for all.
uncleshawn · 41-45, M
I support the Belarus proposal for a 4-state solution.

@TheLastWord My favorite part about the Soviet Union was how they worshipped the Tsar.

@SW-User I tend to agree. They've set it up that way. Any discussion of Israel's policies immediately becomes an act of anti-antisemitism. And there's a reason for that.
SW-User
@Ynotisay what's the reason. We are rational and intelligent people and we are very careful in making opinions, views and statements.
Ynotisay · M
@SW-User It's cover. Religion is cover. "Us vs. Them."
