I Have Tinnitus

Yeah me too. Mine is from playing loud music for 25 years and motorcycle racing. Not much you can do about it.

Sorry,,, my tinnitus was from Jet noise from combat jets taking off and landing on the Aircraft Carrier I was on... It gets worse as you get older... I hope they can help you....

Tinnitus is a terrible disorder and affects over 15% of the population.. A high incidence is with the military and young people. There's great research being done to retrain the brain and reduce the affects of tinnitus so that it can become more manageable..

You should see a an ENT. I had a similar issue with just one ear, my family doctor said everything looked fine and it was hearing loss due to load music when I was young. I went to an ENT, and it turned out I had a cholesteatoma, which is basically a cyst in the inner ear and can be fixed with surgery.

My doctor says that no one really knows what causes tinnitus or how to make it go away. I get it intermittently, but fortunately it is short-lived when I get it. I'm sorry you have to deal with it continuously.

Avoid aspirin. It exacerbates tinnitus.

Yep the new higher powered "ear buds" CAN AND WILL damage hearing! Beware and I hope you find relief. I have the same problem... but mine is age and past work history. I can't hear well ...ugh

I have it in both ears..it doen't bother me. I know some people get it really bad.

I got mine from being a rock guitarist and also from working in the shipyards

I have awful tinnitus. First through playing in bands, gigs etc

Then I have menieres which means in left ear I'm deaf and have a roaring pulsing tinnitus.

I wish for just true silence. Just once
