Did your parents ever complain to the school when you got the cane or did they never find out. How would they react if they knew you were caned at school

in my day at schoolit was hard to keep the fact from your parents that you had been caned. Dad or mum would meet somebody a few days later and in conversation say you had been caned. It was not a taboo subject then and often parents would talk about their son getting caned with another boy. As soon as my parents found out it was a few more of the cane froom dad on my bottom. It was also hard to hide as it was often hard to sit down and mum would notice this and would ask if you had been caned at school. I dare not lie and to admit it meant one rhing when dad got home. "Go to your room and get undressed and come down with the cane (at a stated time.) It was no use trying to say you had not done it and were caned wrongly. It was always the same regardless of how sore my bottom was from being caned at school. "give me the cane and over the chair. Its six for you playing about at school." Then the cane was whacked hard six times on my sore bottom.....it was always six for getting the cane at school. Dad was a hard caner and always did it to me and my brother on the bare bottom. I never recall him giving it to me or my brother on our pants...it was always our bare bottoms and it really hurt.

@chikki The same happened to me .I tried to hide the caning but it was impossible to sit correctly. Dad would found out and the rest was history. He would wait until the next day when the sting is worse and continue with six of the best .Very painful indeed .

yes....my parents always caned me at home if they found out i had it at school. I never did that to my own sons as i felt that if they had been caned at school that was enough

@Mrpauldavies i think these tended to bruise the bottom as well as stinging aS THEY DID NOT BEND SO MUCH. lEATHER SOLE ON THE BARE BORRMS USE TO STING LIKE ANYTHING but it use to flex more on cngtact with your bottom, and while you had a large red shoe mark on yur bottom fr about six hours it never lasted much longer and i do no recall my bottom or others being bruised as a result f having two or three of the slipper across it

My mother was not against CPs (at school and at home) and she was the only one in charge with my discipline (because my father left us when I was a kid). She was a teacher and I do not know if she knew or not when I got a corporal punishment at school - during my primary & secondary school, then, in my high school only the boarders got the cane. I never got the cane at school, only the rule and the switch on the hands. However, for bad reports or misbehaviour at school, I got the belt at home, for my mother was very strict regarding my school results. I always told her whenever I was in a big mess at school before she found it and I suffered the consequences, otherwise it would have been much worse (I'd have gotten a more severe spanking or a CP doubled by other punishments. like grounding, privation of pocket money, TV, etc. 😞).

Obviously in schools like mine, where we were just as likely to be caned, we weren't as evil.
It also occurs to me that girls were far more inclined to hurryn over to the window and see you getting whacked than boys.
I think that was especially true when girls were exempt from CP. It was common in schools where girls were exempt for them to deliberately get boys into trouble so they could see then get caned.Obviously in schools like mine, where we were just as likely to be caned, we weren't as evil.

@Disciplinarian @Sharon yes....no doubt about it girls did like to get boys into trouble so they would get the cane....it was regarded as funny as they did not know how much it hurt. The worse thing was nothing ever seemed to be done to stop them seeing the boys caned.

@CathyUK Girls didn't take any notice of warnings in schools where they were exempt from punishment. Boys probably wouldn't have either if only girls were liable to be punished.

@skimpyboy I was at boarding school so was spared double punishment; though there was some extra reckoning in the holidays when reports came, combined with punishment for usual teenage indiscipline and defiance.

it was very common in those days for parents to back the school unlike today. Backing the school in those days meant one thing...if you were whacked at schooland your parents found out you got another at home. In my case as a boy if i got six of the cane at school, in spite of the soreness it was a trip to dads little study and in spote of the six marks on my bottom from getting it school dad would give me another six on my bare bottom. No wonder in those days you tried to hide the fact from your parents you had been in trouble at school

This is fascinating to me. Spanking is getting less and less frequent in the US and it seems to me it's normal to other parts of the world. And maybe for those who weren't abused, it's easier to talk about. We aren't allowed to use CP at all in my state. Not public nor private. Very interesting.

@JoyEla i can see nothing wrong if a child is naughty giving its bottom a whacking. I have four conditions. Firstly it is fully deserved and the child knows why its bottom is being whacked. It must not be done to excess so becoming abuse. It must not be beyound the childs endurance. Lastly, for two reasons any whacking with an object or hand should be done on the childs bare bottom. The reasons are that the bottom does not have to be hit so hard as over clothing to generate the same sting so by being hit softer the sting is the same but the risk or amount of bruising is greatly reduced. Secondly it can be seen as to the effect the whacks are having on the botttom and the bottom is not being marked to excess. IKeeping these points in mind i cannot see any reason, why even a 15 year ld cannot be made to take his underpants down and have a sound whacking on his bare bottom.

@chikki I see both sides. I was abused in the home and it was to excess. I'd have to say about 20-30x with the belt a couple times a week was the norm. however, always over clothes. often times for things I didn't know I had done wrong. It was just random times and random reasons. sometimes no reason at all. so my view is a bit tainted in that regard. I have never spanked my child, nor has she ever needed it. she isn't naughty by nature, and often times a quick tongue, a disappointing tone with her is enough. As she gets higher in her teen years, if there is an issue, we will certainly not be allowing mouthy behavior to start.

@JoyEla what you goy was excessive and abusive use of corporal punishment. That can never be allowed or tolerated. This is not the same as giving a child a few moderate whacks on the bottom be it over pants or the bare bottom. When deserved i can see no reason why a child should not get a few moderate whacks across the bae bottom...no harm, if for reasonable punishment, insisting the bottom is bare for whacking

@chrisCA when i was a boy if you were swimming nude in the lake npbody took any notice. If you were naughty it was a certain whacking on your bare bottom. People would see youyr bottom getting thrashed but nobody took any notice. It was just a boy being taught a lesson. AS a boy, if i was naughty at school or home i knew i would find myself bending over and having some painful whacks applied to my bare bottom. No question of any other punishment...just a sore bottom. No question if it was going to be done on my pants or shorts. It was always bare and it was no big thing for people to see me nude getting tnrashed on the bare bottom nor for me to see them.

I never told my folks in case my dad slapped me for getting the cane as far as he was concerned you must have done something to deserve it .
