Can you survive?

Once the water and electric goes can you survive????
Can you live without showering and brushing your teeth?
Would you wait til it rains to shower snd keep surviving?
Would you break into other people places for food ?
Do you have weapons to kill the zombies?

Zombies will start to fall apart before too long, insects will start chewing on them, laying eggs in them and so forth. Wild animals will begin to tear off parts of them, exposure, a nice cold winter will break them down, their bones will start to wither and I'd say within a year the 'zombie' hordes will soup. So it will be a matter of keeping out of their way for a year or two till they've all fallen apart.

Weapons to kill the zombies? Not a whole heap but there is a hardware store not that far away, and I live in an apartment and if most of the people in the apartment are gone or are zombies, it'll be a matter of breaking, entering and looking around for tools, weapons, food and so on. I live right near a supermarket, and as long as I'm just one of a few people who survived we should be able to make things last a little bit. There are two big fucking ovals within walking distance and a nursery and a library, and the nursery sells seeds. So I can find a book and get to farming, which will be trial and error and I don't know if I'll make it. If I can get onto the apartment roof I can put out containers to collect water, not the best idea but what can I do. I live near the wilderness and I know how to get to large areas of water, but they're polluted BUT!!!!! Maybe, give it some time and with the human population gone, perhaps the water will begin to clear a bit, not to mention I can collect water from sandstone waterfalls and then boil the fucking shit out of it!!! Meat? That'll be a problem unless I can find some chickens which some people around here might have. I've raised and looked after ducks and chickens before, so that's no problem.

The other problem is other human beings, if I can get things set up a bit right I know a place, a suburb which is like a small town that only has two entrances. If I can set up shop there with my wife and maybe a few good people, or even if it was just the two of us, we might be alright. But things are going to go wrong, they always do. But I'd rather stay at my apartment. Being near a supermarket I'll have a shit load of soap for a while, but not forever. I will not have my epileptic medication so that's a problem too, I will find it difficult to live on my own. So I hope my wife survives too, and my cat.

Sanitation? Eh, I've shit in a hole before that's alright.

Well during the ice storm we recently had in Texas, I had no water for 7 days, no power on and off for 2 days, and very little food in the house. No zombies though.

@DearAmbellina2113 7 days better then but I glad you survived that, saving good is important through that fr people that can’t control their eating will not survive long,

I enjoy camping, and I have lived without running water. As I recall, I used to fill up a 5 gallon water jug and tote it in to camp. I would boil water for brushing teeth, and it is entirely possible to take sponge baths.

I suppose if I were really desperate and a remote cabin was deserted, I might break and enter...just to scavenge anything available.

I don't watch those horrible zombie shows. If they would get rid of them forever I think the national IQ average would go up 10 points.

@4meAndyou I love them especially zombie games I can kill them

I wouldn't like it but I'd survive. I wouldn't need to break into other people's places for food.

I have a large generator that runs everything and a 1,500 gallon propane tank to supply it. No worries.
I would run to the zombie for death! I ain’t tryin to live like that 🤷‍♀️🤣

I get your point @SweetNSassy

Good way to get funguses is not to shower regularly especially when it’s warm-hot weather.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AsianEyezChulaRp You can heat up some water and wash off with it, it’s better than nothing and we had to do it on the farm because our well would go dry if we used too much water.. I can wash my hair with a very small amount of shampoo, rinse it & clean up with about a gallon and a half of water if I have to. Had to do that when the water froze up, I saved some in buckets to use just in case.
AsianEyezChulaRp · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti good point but I like the rainy day shower idea too lol
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AsianEyezChulaRp that would work, or take a dip in a clear stream
