I don't know if you did the married/kids thing, but it took a lot out of the physical relationship for both of us. It can be an exhausting few years until it all sorts out. There was a time where she wasn't really interested and I was too weary to make a fuss about it. Once that stress eased not only did it begin to resume but there is a lot of pent up desire to make up for! (nudge-nudge, wink-wink)
