I Think That If Women Should Shave, So Should Men

Am watching "Naked Attraction" on Channel 4 UK TV. I noticed that out of the 14 new people on the show every week, almost every one of the females and about half the men are totally shaved. Nothing unusual about it any more. Quite the opposite, in fact.

My thoughts exactly. If you expect a lady to keep it neat, you should at least do the same. Just like if you expect respect from others you should be respectful too..

Best idea is the person who said let your partner decide, you take care of each others.

I dont mind shaving down there....and really love the feeling afterwards.

Unfortunately I think you are correct. I am all for equality so I trim and shave !

I fully agree men should shave completely as well.

Personally I find regardless of gender the obsession with removing body hair by definition irrational, silly and more then a little creepy.

I believe women should groom however it's a personal choice to have a bit of grass on the field or not. As far as for men. I do not like when men groom their body hair at all.

Actually more accurate is it came back for women the past 20 years.

1500-3000 years ago shaven or plucked or otherwise smooth was the norm for women.

As for men -there have been times and places...

I remember start shaving or trimming always since i was 15 or even earlier. Felt much cleaner.

They have to be told over and over that it should be that way and eventually it will get normal

For what its worth, I've been shaved since my high school days, almost 35 years now. I never cared what anyone thought back then.

And for nudists, it is quite the norm at beaches and resorts. I will never have hair down below ever again...

Well, it's not normal to shave, so I will not be doing it, nor would I be expecting a partner to do it.

How about just keeping it trim? Is that a fair deal? 😉

I only have hair on my head everything else is shaved clean.

I prefer it natural... for both.

I’ll shave myself in the summer when I visit resorts. An added plus is the feeling swimming nude and a warm wind afterwards with no fuzz to block the feeling.

Mine is kept shaved to trimmed.

I know what you are saying. I've been well groomed for about 10 years but still wonder what other guys at the gym think when they see that I'm nice and tidy.

With an epilator, the step better than just shaving. Smooth all-over makes for a better all-over tan as well as looking much better to most of us. It even feels better when you must wear clothing.

Until a few hundred years ago I believe all women shaved in most countries.
Certainly in the Middle East.

So it's cyclical.

As far as males? Good question.
But things seem to be moving that way...

When I was young and dated several girls it was already very "in" for Swedish girls to be shaved. When meeting someone you liked, the first thought was "is she shaved"... It also worked as an icebreaker for sex to start a discussion whether she was shaved... So, I think it's time for the world to adopt the same trend now (if it did not happen yet 😜)! And shaved girls normally preferred shaved men. Learning that, I started to shave, and have done it since then.

... This is of course just my personal opinion!

At our local nude beach around 66% of the women are bald below and probably 33% of the men (I am in that category). Not that I am keeping an accurate tally. :)

I totally agree with this.. I know from experience when both of you are shaven bare and your making love, the noise and the feel of your bodies coming together is a sensual experience

here is where I come from with my criticism. For one there is no rational reason to remove pubic hair. For women in particular it is unsanitary and increases risk of infection unless you sterilize your underwear before you put them on. And I know this is a value judgement but I have yet to meet any man who likes a woman without pubic hair who was not a closet pedophile who likes their partner to look like a child.

Fully agree with you! There is nothing more unsexy than bodyhair. Must have been a mistake by God to create that. I shave all mine several times a week and it really pays off. It's a little time consuming but worth every second spent on it!

I had an interesting experience recently, in Japan. I don't have personal experience with female Japanese, but the men are definitely not into shaving, and all have very dense, very dark pubic hair. When I went to the local bath, I attracted a lot of attention, being the only non-Japanese in it, and because of my fine, white pubic hair.

I shaved in the 80's for my wife one time! She seemed to like it but never ask me to do it again!

I agree, get weird looks from some in change room, but I love the look and feel, so I just ignore the looks.

I have wondered this.
On one hand logical.

On other hand, just as men are naturally more hairy, face and chest for example - perhaps smooth is feminine and men should just be trimmed?

I do shave every so often. But where do you stop? Balls? Legs? Chest?

Cant tell you last time I had hair on my pubic region.
